Enrolling our kids in Yu's Academy was one of the best decisions we have ever made. The principles that are taught to the students are those that we wish all kids possessed. Respect,responsibility, and integrity are a few concepts that are instilled in the students at Yu's Academy. They are taught not only self defense, but how to be a respectful, responsible person. As a mom, I always try to see the best in my child. I know her strengths as well as her weaknesses. I want her to see how smart and creative she is. I want her to know that with hard work she can accomplish great things. Tess has always had a hard time showing people outside our house these traits. Tess is 13 years old. She started taking Hapkido in November of 2010, when one of her friends invited her to a testing day. Tess wanted to take classes immediately.
